Dream On, Our Pioneers!
November 21, 2013 is the milestone day of S.H. Ho College: the first cohort of students who were admitted in 2010 became the first S.H. Ho graduates this year. Dressed in gowns representing their respective faculties, the graduates proceeded to the stage one after another to receive their certificates and college souvenirs from Master Samuel Sun and Dr. Tzu-leung Ho. Arriving at the stage, the student's individual photo, name and feeling about graduation were also shown on the screen, symbolizing the College treasures the uniqueness and presence of each graduate.

S.H. Ho College Students Attended "Joint Asian Students Forum" in Beijing
On October 31, 2013, six S.H. Ho College students travelled to Peking University to attend a four-day "Joint Asian Students Forum" on the theme of "Cultural Integration and Education Issues in Seoul, Beijing and Hong Kong". The forum was participated by students from Seoul National University, Yuanpei College of Peking University and S.H. Ho College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

High Table Dinner-cum-Scholarship Presentation Ceremony
S.H. Ho College provides extensive scholarship opportunities to its students as a token of appreciation to students' ceaseless pursuit of distinguished performance and academic excellence. On November 13, the dining hall was filled with thundering applause during the scholarship presentation ceremony. Prof. Samuel Sun, Dr. Tzu-leung Ho and Mrs. Stella Ho presented 80 scholarship awards to the distinguished students. Before the High Table Dinner-cum-Scholarship Presentation Ceremony began, Dr. Ho briefly recalled the history of S.H. Ho College and the efforts the pioneers paid to encourage all the students to continue to pursue excellence.

S.H. Ho College Medical Society Inauguration
Held on November 15, the Medical Society Annual Dinner marked a memorable beginning for S.H. Ho College medical students. At the moment when Dr. Tzu-leung Ho passed the skeleton to the president of the Medical Society, a symbol of dedication to caring patients, the inaugural Medical Society was officially launched. The dinner was graced by the presence of Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-chancellor of the University; Prof. Francis Chan, Dean of Medicine; Dr. Tzu-leung Ho, Chairman of the Committee of Overseers, S.H. Ho College; Prof. Samuel Sun, Master of S.H. Ho College; as well as teaching staff and students of the Faculty of Medicine. The dining hall was filled with speakers' hearty sharing and musical enchantment. 

The Fifth GE Student Seminar
The fifth GE Student Seminar, organized by Office of University General Education, was held on 16 November 2013 at Yasumoto International Academic Park. The GE Student Seminar celebrates the achievements of outstanding students in General Education Foundation Programme. It aims at gathering both former and current GEF students who share passion for reading classics to discuss their peers' good works and ponder about life. Four S.H. Ho students were awarded the third GE Student's Best Work Award. Their award-bearing essays will be introduced in the four issues of the College e-Newsletter.

"Beautiful Africa: A New Generation" - Watoto Concert of Hope

The globally acclaimed Watoto Children's Choirs have travelled internationally to present Concerts of Hope as a voice for the cry of the African children, who have suffered some of the worst atrocities known to man. After travelling to Australia, Malaysia and Singapore, the choir tour finally arrived in Hong Kong and performed at S.H. Ho College on November 1.  Fused with contemporary and traditional African rhythm, the choir features vibrant music, dance routines, stories of transformation, exciting audiovisual effects, and music videos – all produced to celebrate the beauty of Africa. More than 800 audiences enjoyed the evening cultural delight.


Delegation Visit from Fudan University
A delegation comprising 15 students and two teachers from Zhide College, Fudan University visited S.H. Ho College on October 26, 2013. Nine Student Union members of our College received the delegates with hospitality. After touring the college hostel, S.H. Ho students introduced to the delegates the role and operation of the Student Union, and shared on how they tackled the challenges throughout the year. The students of the two colleges then discussed on the College history, College culture formation, student organizations and student autonomy issues.
