粵語辯論賽

Cantonese Debate Match

書院粵語辯論隊於2020年1月17日邀得香港大學大學堂辯論隊，在書院聚會中進行友誼辯論賽，辯題為「活於當代香港迎難而上比知難而退更值得推崇」。正方為香港大學大學堂辯論隊，反方為聯合書院粵語辯論隊。中大數據科學與政策研究課程主任黃偉豪教授、中大中國語言及文學系講師鄭兆邦博士及吳家怡博士擔任評判。經熱烈辯論，勝方為書院粵語辯論隊，書院謹致衷心祝賀。

United College Cantonese Debate Team has invited the University Hall Debate Team, HKU, for a friendly match at the College Assembly of 17 January 2020. The motion was “Living in Hong Kong nowadays, taking the challenges should be praised higher than retreat from difficulties”, with HKU Team being for the motion while UC Team being against the motion. The panel of judges included Professor Wilson W H Wong, Director, Data Science and Policy Studies Programme, CUHK; Dr Cheng Siu-pong and Dr Ng Ka-yi, Lecturers of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, CUHK. United College Cantonese Debate Team won this debate. Our warmest congratulations to them!
