CUHK wins bid to host APAIE conference for 2013
APAIE will be integrated into CUHK’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 2013.

A bid to host the annual Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference and Exhibition in 2013 in Hong Kong submitted by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has been successful. The APAIE Conference and Exhibition will be integrated into CUHK's 50th anniversary celebrations in 2013.

News on student exchanges
Some 560 international and non-local Chinese students from 23 countries joined CUHK in the first term of the 2011–12 academic year.

A warm welcome to some 560 international and non-local Chinese students joining the CUHK community in the first term of the 2011–12 academic year! In the past two months, a series of orientation, cultural, and service learning programmes organised by the Office of Academic Links (OAL) has familiarised students with the study environment at CUHK and enriched their learning experience. In addition, applications for the CUHK Outgoing Student Exchange Programmes 2012–13 commenced with a series of promotional activities from 7–21 October that disseminated information on exchange opportunities in 29 countries.

Past visits:

  • The Office of Academic Links (OAL) received 25 visiting delegations between 30 August and 31 October 2011. The delegations learnt about CUHK's teaching and research priorities and met with various CUHK representatives to explore opportunities for collaboration.
