The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) offers abundant opportunities for its faculty members to develop collaboration with scholars and researchers worldwide in their fields of interest. Through outbound visits supported by the International Partnerships Development Programme 2013-14, research ties were strengthened with overseas institutions in the areas of Psychiatry, Law, Environment and Climate Change, and Information Engineering, to name just a few. Back on campus, a number of international events were recently held as well, including a seminar on the impact of Ebola epidemic by South Africa's Minister of Health, and a joint workshop on Urban Design with Utrecht University. The third STINT Fellow from Linnaeus University, Sweden, is also onboard to enrich the international dimension of the teaching staff.

News on Worldwide Universities Network activities (WUN)
|
A special feature on CUHK’s engagements in WUN since its admission in 2011 was published in early September. As one of the youngest members of WUN, the University has taken an active role in the Network in various dimensions, including collaborative research, and faculty and PhD student exchanges. Furthermore, CUHK will play host to the WUN Conference and Annual General Meeting in April 2015 where leaders and scholars from around the world will gather in Hong Kong.

|
After bidding farewell to some 500 international and non-local Chinese students who took part in a five-week International Summer School, the University welcomed some 600 exchange students of 41 nationalities from 25 countries/regions to the first term of the 2014-15 academic year.
