The Third Joint Convocation Conference 'Hall & College Education at HKU & College Spirit at CUHK—in Retrospect and Looking Ahead'

Professor Kenneth Young, Master of CW Chu College, represented CUHK to give a keynote speech at the third Joint Convocation Conference organised by HKU Convocation and CUHK Convocation on 18 April 2015 on the topic 'Hall & College Education at HKU & College Spirit at CUHK—in Retrospect and Looking Ahead'.

Professor Young introduced the idea of a collegiate university, and the role of a College to conduct student-oriented teaching. Participants gained a better understanding of the College spirit in CUHK, and the concept of whole-person education.

General Education International Conference 2015

Professor Kenneth Young, Master of CW Chu College, represented the College to attend the General Education International Conference 2015 on 12-13 June 2015, and had fruitful exchanges with the participants on the nature, model, methodology, and assessment of General Education in and beyond Hong Kong.

With the theme of 'Foundations of General Education', the conference was organized by the Office of University General Education, CUHK. It brought together teachers and scholars from Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the US to share their experience and research on the subject.
