Follow your heart in finding your path

Follow your heart and your dream will come true.  With a fond interest in the hotel industry, Emily Tam, alumna of Bachelor of Business (Hotel Management) Programme jointly offered by CUSCS and Griffith University (GU), Australia, gave up the opportunities to study business at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong but chose GU's programme upon graduation from her Associate Degree.  She also chose to finish her last semester at the GU campus in Australia and now, she's working at a renowned hotel in Gold Coast, Australia.

Emily explained her reasons for choosing this top-up programme.  "GU ranks among top 10 in Australia and this programme only requires one year to finish.  Lecturers from GU gave me insights about Asian cases while CUSCS lecturers helped me a lot, whether I was in Hong Kong or Australia," she said.  Though at first she had difficulties adjusting to the study mode, Emily was soon able to tune in.

"Studying in Australia opened my eyes to different cultures and enhanced my English proficiency," Emily said.  She plans to stay in Australia to develop her career and pursue her dream.  "Hotel industry is fascinating and tourism in Australia is more prosperous.  I plan to pursue a master's degree in business management so that I can have a wider perspective and knowledge base to contribute to the hotel industry in the future," Emily added.

Emily follows her passion for the hotel industry and is moving towards her dream.  What is your dream?
