Two scholars from the Faculty of Engineering were among the five overall from CUHK to receive awards under the 2022-23 Research Grants Council (RGC) Senior Research Fellow Scheme and RGC Research Fellow Scheme in recognition of their distinguished research achievements.

Professor Raymond Yeung from the Department of Information Engineering received the award under the 2022-23 RGC Senior Research Fellow Scheme for his project, “Research and Development of Network Coding Technologies”.

Professor Lu Yi-chun from the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering received the award under the 2022-23 RGC Research Fellow Scheme for her research project on “Polysulfide-based Aqueous Redox Flow Batteries with High Stability and High-power Density for Low-cost and Long-duration Energy Storage”.
