EAP-tips: Triumph Over Depression
Depression is preventable. Here are some hot tips for preventing depression:

1. Every morning, get in front of the mirror, smile to yourself or make a funny face and say, "Today, I'm going to be happier than yesterday".

2. In face of challenges, try to divide your time into different 10-minute intervals. Aim at what you can achieve every 10 minutes so that you can have more accomplishments and feeling less distressed.

3. Exercise for 20-30 minutes every three days to enable your brain to produce more "happy" hormones.

4. Learn from experience of your own or your friends on how to handle difficult situations/challenges successfully so that you can feel more confident next time you face them.

5. Eat well. Have sufficient amount of proteins and carbohydrates in your diet so that it helps to regulate your emotion.

6. Pamper yourself with regular rest and leisure activities to recharge yourself physically as well as psychologically!
