ITSC Awarded Gold in Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme

ITSC's website won the Gold Award in the 2024-2025 "Digital Accessibility Recognition Scheme"(DARS) organized by the Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC).

Digital Accessibility Design ensures web content is accessible to individuals of diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities.
Our website (https://www.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/) outlines the following key accessibility standards:

  • Compatibility with assistive tools (e.g., screen readers) for users with physical, visual, or hearing disabilities.
  • Text alternatives for images to help visually impaired users understand.
  • Captions and transcripts for videos/audio to assist users with hearing disabilities.
  • High-contrast colors and clear button designs to improve usability for all users.

By promoting web accessibility, we hope to advance equal internet rights for everyone.
