Two senior-year students shared their rewarding university life and some useful tips with us. Ho Ka Ka, the recipient of Innovation and Technology Scholarship in 2017, talked about her exchange experience in the US and Sweden. She encouraged freshmen to stay humble, expand their tool box with exposure in other fields, and know clear about themselves and their vision so as to master their own path. While another student, Simon Wong, who is currently the director and co-founder of a technology start-up company, shared with us his days spent in performing experiments, learning cutting-edge science and technology through participating in various local and overseas competitions, and inventing the self-sanitising door handle which has been patented and adopted in some shopping malls. He reminded new students to "dream big" and "think far" in the road of learning and applying science in our daily life.
More than 50 teachers and senior students from different departments and programmes joined the consultation session to welcome our new students and the Inauguration had attracted over 200 new students to join.
