After graduation, she worked as a research staff in the Institute of Chinese Medicine before she joined the Office of University General Education as a Lecturer in 2012 and started teaching In Dialogue with Nature, one of the compulsory General Education (GE) foundation courses for undergraduates of CUHK in four-year curriculum. The course encourages students to engage in the reading of classic texts and in peer discussion of science issues, thereby clarifying misconceptions and building up confidence in analyzing social issues from a scientific perspective.
Apart from teaching, she has participated in the development of an interactive mobile app which enhances students' understanding of core texts. It has been reported that science anxiety prevents students from gaining science knowledge and from applying science skills in life. She is now investigating how the GE course can have a positive impact on the change in students' science anxiety.
