'Training' for Life's Journey

Following the success last year, the School was very glad to collaborate with the MTR again to offer the 'Train' for Life's Journeys Programme 2010 to 100 selected Form 5 graduates this summer. The multidimensional training programme aimed at motivating Form 5 graduates and offering them the opportunity to broaden their horizons and learn valuable life skills through training, internships and interaction with others. This ten-day programme included a two-day, one-night experiental training camp on the CUHK campus and four days of classes offered by the School.

The participants also engaged in various experimental activities and forms of training at the MTR, such as being Service Ambassadors and visiting the MTR depot.

During the programme, the participants improved their communication, interpersonal and project-management skills, which helped them to build up their confidence and develop a positive mindset when facing challenges. The programme concluded with a graduation ceremony at which awards were presented to outstanding participants in various areas, including leadership, creativity, active learning and communication skills.

Dr. Victor Lee, Director of the School (3rd from right, back row) attended the graduation ceremony of ‘Training’ for Life’s Journey and congratulated the SCS student awardees.
