| Emerge in Flying Colours | |
|
Ms TSANG Nga Hei (Higher Diploma Programme in Fashion Design and Product Development), who submitted a thoughtful qipao design themed as peach blossom, won the 2nd Runner-up in the category of "Evening Gown & Qi Pao Designs" in Asian Wedding Arts & Design Competition 2010. In the 16th Asian Games of 2010, two of our students won a silver and bronze medal for Hong Kong. Mr CHOW Kwong Wing, (Higher Diploma Programme in Financial Services) snatched the silver medal in Lightweight Men's Double Sculls while Ms LAU Hiu Wai (Higher Diploma Programme in Corporate Management and Business Information Systems), won a bronze medal in Women's Team Foil. In the ACCA Hong Kong Business Competition 2010, the team comprising Mr CHAN Ho Yin, Mr TAI Chun Yin, Mr WANG Ka Lung (Higher Diploma Programme in Business and Human Resource Management) and Mr SHIU Fu Cheong (Higher Diploma Programme in Business and Service Management) outperformed the other 400+ teams from the sub-degree sector and walked away with four awards including the Champion, the Most Creative Team Award and the Best Team Spirit Award. Mr TAI, who was highly praised by the panel of judges, received the Best Presenter Award. Last but not least, Ms. TAM Tsz Pui and Ms. TANG Sze Man (Higher Diploma Programme in Fashion Design and Product Development) were selected as finalists in Hong Kong Young Designer Contest 2011 this January. The Contest is a major occasion in the fashion industry and it is an honour to be nominated for final round. Congratulations to all awardees!
