| Ho Tim Hall and Lee Quo Wei Hall Naming Ceremonies | |
| In appreciation of the significant contributions made by Dr. Ho Tim and Dr. the Honourable Lee Quo-wei to The Chinese University of Hong Kong since its inception, the two student hostels of the newly founded S.H. Ho College have been named Ho Tim Hall and Lee Quo Wei Hall. Naming ceremonies were held on 27th and 28th May respectively, at which Mrs. Ho Tim and Dr. and Mrs. Lee Quo Wei unveiled plaques commemorating the occasion. They were accompanied by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Lawrence J. Lau, and Prof. Samuel S.M. Sun, Master of S.H. Ho College. The ceremonies were attended by some 100 guests who are members and friends of the Ho and the Lee families as well as by members of the University. The Vice-Chancellor extended his sincere gratitude to Dr. Ho and Dr. Lee for their outstanding support of the University and their enthusiasm for education. "Your generous donations have been instrumental in helping the University achieve such high standards in teaching and research," Prof. Lau said. "Your contributions will be remembered and appreciated by teachers and students for many years to come" |
