The School was honoured to have Ms Prudence Ngar-tuen Mak, founder of Chocolate Rain Jewellery & Design, and Mr Stanley Yun-hang Cheung, a psychological trainer and counsellor and the survivor of the Pak Sin Leng hill fire in 1996, to be our guest speakers in two talks held in June. The audience were inspired by the accounts of their experience of success.
Ms Mak delivered a talk on "Searching for Inspiration" on June 11. She shared with us her experiences in founding Chocolate Rain and explained that the key to her success was to grasp hold of every piece of inspiration. The School held another talk on 18 June. Mr Cheung shared with us how he recovered from the trauma of the Pak Sin Leng hill fire and stood up at adversity. He furthered his studies in the US and was named as one of the "Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Young Persons" in 2009. He told us that the "formula" to face adversity is "Accept, Belief, Control and Again". He himself is a real-life example for us to follow in times of hardships.
