The study tour went smoothly and was made possible with the kind support from Fudan University, CW Chu College of Soochow University, and The CUHK Shanghai Centre.
During the trip, participating students attended sharing sessions organised by Fudan University and Soochow University to learn about their histories and to exchange views with faculty and students. The students also visited various museums and significant historic sites such as Lion Grove Garden, National Anthem Gallery and Shanghai Lu Xun Museum. This immersive experience offered students a thorough understanding of the cultural heritage, history, and architectural richness of both cities.
Participants also took part in guided tours of several emerging enterprises in Shanghai, including Papergames and Bilibili. These tours offered valuable insights into each company's development, business operations, and the opportunities they create for young professionals, as well as their broader impacts on both China and the global market.
A highlight of the trip was the opportunity for students to experience the C919 aircraft, China’s first domestically developed commercial trunk liner. This experience provided context for their subsequent tour of the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China. Students learnt about the significance of China's advancements in aviation technology and the pivotal role this aircraft plays in shaping the future of the industry.
