The Exclusive Movie Screening of ‘The Dumpling Queen’

The College hosted an exclusive screening of ‘The Dumpling Queen’ on 24 May 2025 at a cinema. The movie honours the extraordinary life of the late Madam Chong Kin Wo — a story of resilience, perseverance, and the enduring spirit of Hong Kong.

Over 140 guests including members and friends of Madam Chong’s family, donors, CUHK and CWC members, alumni and students attended the event.

Following the screening, those present engaged with the movie crew, including director Andrew Lau, and the daughters of Madam Chong, Ms Joanne Wong and Mrs Jessica Luchangco, who shared their personal feelings and insights about Madam Chong’s inspiring life. This event not only honoured Madam Chong but also reflected the shared values of CW Chu College.

In April 2018, the College named its Multi-Purpose Hall as Chong Kin Wo Hall to recognise her tireless support of the College’s vision.
