Highlight for Students: A Better Hostel Network Experience after This Summer!
After this summer, your experience in student hostel network ResNet is going up to next level! We are now working with the respective student hostel management to upgrade the network equipment which was introduced in 2009. What's about the upgrade? - Introduction of In-room WiFi
You will no longer share the WiFi with 300 Mbps speed among your neighbouring 4 – 6 rooms. Because we are introducing the in-room WiFi with 300 Mbps speed in EACH ROOM. The WiFi speed in your hostel room is climbing up!
- A More Stable Wired Network with Backend Connection Enhancement
We also enhance the backend connection from student hostels to campus network. The current Resnet connection to campus network, 1 x 1 Gigabit Ethernet link, will be levelled up to 2 x 10 Gigabit Ethernet links. This can eliminate traffic bottle neck and bring a more stable wired network in hostels.
