Naming Ceremony of Feng Yu Building and David & Marina Chu Building cum Launch of the Mentorship Scheme and Presentation of Scholarships and Certificates 2024–25

The College held a naming ceremony for its Feng Yu Building and David & Marina Chu Building on 29 March 2025.

Over 130 guests attended the ceremony, including members of the Chu family, donors, Chu Scholars, College Fellows, College affiliates, College mentors, teachers, staff, parents and students. For more about the name Feng Yu, click here.

Professor Wong Suk Ying, Master of College, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the donors for their generous support of the whole-person education and the educational endeavours of the College. She also encouraged students to learn from the legacies of the late Dr CW Chu and Dr David Chu, pursue worthy goals and serve the community.

These two blocks of CW Chu College’s premises are named respectively in appreciation of an anonymous benefactor and to acknowledge the steadfast support of the Chu family, for the overall development of the College and continuous cultivation of the values embodied in its motto, Cultus et Beneficentia: leadership, service, intellectual clarity and ethical conduct.

On the same day, the College also launched the next cycle of the Mentorship Scheme and presented Scholarships and Certificates for 2024-25. The College successfully paired 20 mentors with students through the Mentorship Scheme. Professor Wong Suk Ying expressed her heartfelt thanks to the mentors for sharing their invaluable experiences, helping students to navigate their academic and future career paths, and broaden their horizons beyond the campus.
