Student studying PhD in Public Health chosen as WCRF Fellow

Ms Roselle LEE, a full-time PhD student in Public Health, has been selected as a Fellow by the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) for a new International Course in Nutritional Epidemiology in London. She is one of six fellows worldwide and the only one from Hong Kong to receive the fellowship this year.

As a fellow, Roselle's course fees were sponsored by WCRF International. This course, which was run by Imperial College London from September 7 to September 18, is one of the best of its kind and was lectured by some of the world's leading experts. Roselle attended this course with five other fellowship recipients from Australia, Denmark, the UK, the Netherlands and Mongolia.

Roselle said, 'I am delighted to be selected because the WCRF Global Network is a widely respected organization in the field of cancer prevention and an increase in cancer rates is an important consequence of the westernisation of the Chinese diet.'
