As a reminder, endorsed by August 2016 IT Governance Committee meeting, email address and display name of every staff have been standardized

1. Email Address

Standard format:

<preferred name><initials*><last name><number*>@cuhk.edu.hk

* Optional, up to three characters

All new staff will use the standard email address format.  Existing staff who have already selected their email alias can keep using theirs.
You can define your @cuhk.edu.hk email address once at http://cai.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/alias (through campus network or a VPN connection) using the standard format.  Once defined, you will also be using it as your CUHK Login for accessing services such as email, Office 365, etc..
 

1. Display Name in Email and Office 365

Standard format:

<preferred name><initials*><last name><, Salutation*> (Department Code)

* Optional
