Postgraduate Research Output Award 2023
Zou Yudan (PhD in Statistics), who is supervised by Prof. Song Xinyuan, has received the Postgraduate Research Output Award 2023.
To encourage quality research, The Chinese University of Hong Kong established a Postgraduate Research Output Award in September 2002.
2023–24 Science Faculty Postgraduate Research Day
The faculty’s annual postgraduate research day was held on 8 May 2024. It provided a platform for postgraduate students to gain exposure at the seminar, to present their innovative research results and to share research ideas and experiences.

Second Runner-up in CUHK Capstone Project Presentation Competition 2024
Hung Kim Pong (BSc in Risk Management Science) won the Second Runner-up in CUHK Capstone Project Presentation Competition 2024. The competition aims to provide a university-wide platform for students to showcase the outcomes of their year-long capstone projects to a much wider audience. It is believed that this initiative will promote academic excellence and interdisciplinary communication by providing an opportunity for final-year students from various backgrounds to gain valuable experience in presenting their research work in public.
Best Teaching Assistant Award
Kua Wei Zhia (MPhil in Risk Management Science) and Wang Yaxuan (MPhil in Statistics) were awarded the Best Teaching Assistant Award 2023–24 in recognition of their outstanding teaching.
Research Achievement Award for Graduate Students in Statistics
He Yuyang (PhD in Statistics) received the Research Achievement Award for Graduate Students in Statistics 2023–24 in recognition of her research achievements, including but not limited to research publications, research presentations, conference posters and performance in research competitions.
