Summer-to-summer exchange programme 2013

As part of the University's effort to provide a greater variety of exchange programmes for students, the summer-to-summer exchange programme was launched in 2012. This summer, some 40 students from CUHK immerse themselves in a foreign culture and take part in credit-bearing courses, company visits and cultural programmes in seven institutions. These include Aarhus University and Copenhagen Business School, Denmark; Ewha Womans University, Korea; Stockholm University, Sweden; TELECOM Ecole de Management, France; Utrecht University, the Netherlands; and  WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria.

CUHK International Summer School 2013

CUHK welcomed some 500 international students to CUHK's International Summer School (ISS). Held from 2 July to 5 August, ISS offers an exceptional opportunity for participating students to immerse themselves in a multicultural environment, gain insight into Asian cultures, and experience a unique learning environment on the green, spacious CUHK campus outside regular term time. Students attend classes during the week and explore Hong Kong on weekends. Held for the 9th year, the ISS brings students from 37 countries to the University, making the campus a melting pot of cultures in the summer.

Consulate visits

The Office of Academic Links organized visits to consulates in Hong Kong between May and July to help outgoing exchange students from CUHK prepare for their forthcoming exchange programme. Students met with consulate representatives to learn about the unique culture of the host countries and features of the host universities. They were also provided with useful information about visa application.

A Welcoming Dinner kicked off the ISS on 2 July.

Exchange students attending ISS explore Hong Kong through the weekend excursions.
