The 64th Economic Management Training Programme for Senior Civil Servants from Mainland China

 The School is committed to providing high quality corporate training programmes to meet the needs of various private and public organisations in Hong Kong and the mainland. To further enhance the quality of the programme, the School constantly works with other reputable organisations. The 64th Economic Management Training Programme for Senior Civil Servants from Mainland China, co-organised by the School and the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel with Hong Kong Pei Hua Education Foundation, was held on 16-28 May. The programme aimed to familiarize participants with the operation of the market economy in Hong Kong and the roles taken by government and enterprises. Thirty-seven students from various government bodies in mainland China joined the programme. They attended lectures and were given tours of major government bodies, businesses and financial organisations in Hong Kong. Keynote speakers of the programme included Dr Zhou Ba-jun, member of the Commission on Strategic Development, HKSAR, Ms Elsie Leung Oi-sie, Deputy Director of the HKSAR Basic Law Committee, Prof Fu Ping-ping, Department of Management, CUHK, and Prof Shih Chi-ping, commentator from Phoenix Satellite Television. Mr Ian Fok Chun Wan, Governor and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Hong Kong Pei Hua Education Foundation, attended the welcome dinner with the participants.
