More than 300 teaching staff, students and non-teaching staff members joined the gathering to share among themselves the happy moments. The roast pig-cutting ceremony hosted by Prof. Chan Wai-Yee, School Director, Prof. Cho Chi-Hin, Associate Director (Research), Prof. Michael S.C. Tam, Associate Director (Undergraduate Education), Prof. Woody W.Y. Chan, Associate Director (Graduate Education) and Prof. Kung Hsiangfu, Academician and Emeritus Professor heightened the joy of the day.
The relocation of our School to Area 39 was one of the largest relocation projects ever undertaken within the University. Heartfelt thanks should go to different groups of our members who were greatly involved in and devoted themselves selflessly to the planning and coordination throughout the whole exercise. We also would like to extend our earnest gratitude to Prof. Ching Pak-Chung, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Fung Tung, Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor, the Faculty of Medicine and the various central units including but not limited to the Campus Development Office, the Estates Management Office, the Campus Planning and Sustainability Office as well as the Security and Transport Office, etc. for their stern and enormous support and assistance without which the relocation process would not have been so successful.
