Dr. Isabel S.S. Hwang, Lecturer and member of the Teaching and Learning Unit of the School of Biomedical Sciences, was presented an Outstanding Education Award at the Teachers' and Students' Award Presentation Ceremony 2016 organized by the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 23 January 2016, in recognition of her passion and dedication to teaching and learning, and contribution to nurturing generations of devoted graduates to serve our society. Apart from this, Dr. Hwang's teaching excellence was also recognized by an overseas institution. With her e-Poster presentation on the topic "Applying the Flipped Classroom to a Large Heterogeneous Discipline Class", she was chosen as the Merit Award Winner at the 13th Asia Pacific Medical Education Conference (APMEC) 2016 organized by the School of Medicine, National University of Singapore from 13 to 17 January 2016. The Conference aimed to allow educators from medical and healthcare professional sectors to share their teaching experiences, some latest ideas and best practices adopted internationally. We sincerely congratulate Dr. Hwang on her outstanding accomplishments and wish her continued success in the pursuit of teaching and learning excellence. |
