聯合書院支持中大五十周年校慶啟動典禮

United College Fully Supported CUHK 50th Anniversary Kick-off Ceremony

香港中文大學五十周年校慶啟動典禮‧健步行暨嘉年華於 2013 年1 月27 日舉行。聯合書院組成「健步隊」，聯同一眾教職員、校友及學生同賀中大金禧慶典。是次健步行活動所籌募的捐款，全數支持中大的I‧CARE 博群計劃，讓學生藉參與本港、中國內地，以至海外國家的社會及公民服務，達至全人發展。典禮中沈祖堯校長率領一眾參加者為「中大五十‧關懷」大行動誓師，呼籲參加者於2013 年奉獻五十小時參與義務工作，支援弱勢社群，服務社會。當日，聯合書院校友會亦於嶺南體育館的嘉年華會上設置兒童攤位遊戲，與眾同樂。(P. 3)

In celebrating the Golden Jubilee of CUHK, staff, students, alumni and friends of United College joined the UC Walkathon Team at the "CUHK 50th Anniversary Kick-off Ceremony, Walkathon and Carnival" on 27 January 2013. All money raised will be used to support the I．CARE Programme of the University in strengthening students' holistic development through social and civic engagements in Hong Kong, mainland China and overseas countries. Professor Joseph J Y Sung, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK, led the participants to kickoff the CU50．CareCare, a programme which encouraged all members of the University to undertake 50 hours of community service commitments within the jubilee year. Furthermore, the UC Alumni Association set up a game booth for kids at the Carnival at Lingnan Stadium, drawing lots of participants to this exciting and fun-filled event. (P. 3)
