Prof. Cheng Siwei, Vice-Chairman, Standing Committee of the 9th and 10th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, paid a visit to The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 14 July to enhance academic exchange. Prof. Cheng was warmly welcomed by Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor of CUHK and  CUHK senior members including Prof. Lawrence J. Lau, former Vice-Chancellor and Ralph and Claire Landau Professor of Economics; Prof. Benjamin Wah, Provost; Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Michael Hui, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Wong Tak-jun, Dean of Business Administration; Prof. Liu Pak-wai, Director of the Institute of Global Economics and Finance and Prof. Joseph Yam, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Institute of Global Economics and Finance.

A delegation from the 6th Cross-Straits Meeting for University Presidents visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 25 July.  Comprising 80 participants from 22 institutions in Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, the delegation included Jiang Shusheng, Chairman of China Democratic League and Vice-chairman of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, and 20 University Presidents. They are warmly received by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Joseph Sung and CUHK senior colleagues including Prof. Benjamin Wah, Provost; Pro-Vice-Chancellors Prof. Kenneth Young, Prof. Jack Cheng, Prof. Henry N.C. Wong; as well as representatives of Colleges and Faculties.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) welcomed a 13-member delegation from Yunnan Province on July 9. Headed by Prof. Tao Qing, Vice Secretary-General of Yunnan Provincial Department of Education, the visiting delegation was composed of government officials and senior members of 7 universities in Yunnan.

On 15 July, a 6-member delegation led by Prof. Chen Siping, Vice Chairman of the Shenzhen People's Congress of PRC visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) to explore collaboration opportunities.

A delegation led by Prof. Lin Rupeng, Vice President of Jinan University, visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 9 July to get to know international cooperation of CUHK and to strengthen links with the University.

Prof. Gu Jiang, Vice-President of Shantou University visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 16 July for academic exchange.

Led by Vice-President Prof. Zhuang Zhaowen, a delegation from National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) to enhance academic exchange with the Faculty of Engineering on 16 July.

A 9-member delegation led by The Rev. Dr. Michael G. Kwo S.V.D., Vice President for Mission of Fu Jen Catholic University came to the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 6 July to understand the college system of CUHK.

With the aim to promote cultural exchange with Mainland China, Office of Academic Links (China) launched the Summer Cultural Interflow Programme for Mainland Students from 19 to 25 July. A total of 44 mainland students from 15 mainland universities took part in the programme.
