1. Why shouldn't you give your CWEM password to friends, or allow friends to use your account?

Have you ever given your CWEM password to your friends for Wi-Fi access or VPN connection? If so, you have already violated ITSC policies and guidelines on proper use of ICT facilities that "6.4 Users are forbidden to give/disclose their passwords to anyone or allow anyone to use their e-mail or computing accounts".

2. Free Download and Renewal of Kaspersky Anti-Virus Software

The University has acquired an anti-virus software campus site license from Kaspersky Lab since 2008. By acquiring the license, all CUHK staff and students are entitled to install one copy of Kaspersky Anti-Virus on one of your computers (either Mac or Windows PC) at home or hostel.

3. ITSC Regular User Group Meetings

We have meetings with students, LAN administrators and webmasters regularly, with aims of maintaining close communication with them.

5. Decommissioning of iHome Server Effective from 31 Aug 2014

Due to a low usage of iHome Server and users' tendency of moving their homepages to departmental servers, ITSC is going to decommission iHome Server effective from 31 Aug 2014.  Current iHome users should backup all your files before the decommissioned date.

6. Mobile Clinic for the CUHK Student Notebook Ownership Program 2013

Acer technicians will stay on campus and provide after-sales technical support for staff, students and alumni.
