EDA is an immensely important field that enables the design and manufacturing of high performance electronic systems. It manages the extremely rapid growth in complexity and scale of integrated circuits that can be composed of tens of billions of transistors.

Professor Yi-Chun Lu and her team have been studying the origins of the instability of the oxygen batteries. Recently, they replaced the problematic potassium metal with an organic biphenyl anode (BpK) forming a potassium biphenyl complex-oxygen (BpK-O₂) battery.
