CUHK Appoints Master-Designate for S.H. Ho College
The Council of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, at its meeting held on 17 April, 2018, approved the appointment of Professor Wong Wing Shing as the next Master of S.H. Ho College for a period of four years from 1 August, 2018.

On 21 March, S.H. Ho College held its 6th High Table Dinner in 2017-18 at Ho Sin Hang Hall.
On 21 March, S.H. Ho College held its 6th High Table Dinner in 2017-18 at Ho Sin Hang Hall. Professor Simon Ng Siu Man, Learning Experience - Assistant Dean, Faculty of Medicine; Professor, Department of Surgery; and Fellow of S.H. Ho College of CUHK, was the guest speaker who shared his experiences in 'Robotic Surgery'. He reviewed the historical developments, impacts, effectiveness and prospects of the technology. Although artificial intelligence will be widely applied in robotic surgery, Professor Ng is confident that the humanity between doctors and patients will never be replaced by robots.

Lectures on Japan's Pacifism by Mr. Kumagai Shinichiro
Mr. Kumagai delivered a lecture during the College’s High Table Dinner on 11 April.
On the 80th anniversary of the Nanjing Massacre, S.H. Ho College is honoured that Mr. Kumagai Shinichiro, associate chief editor of Sekai (World) magazine, delivered a lecture on 'Remembering and Forgetting - Is Japan's Pacifism Fading?' during the College's 7th High Table Dinner in 2017-18 at Ho Sin Hang Hall on 11 April. In addition, he also delivered a public lecture on 'Japan's Historical Perception and Peace in the Southeast Asia Region' at Yasumoto International Academic Park on 12 April. Both lectures were given in Japanese with active participation from students. Ms. Lavender Cheung, Director of Communications and Public Relations Office of CUHK interpreted the speeches into Cantonese and English.

Runner Force in Local Races
Members of Runner Force participated in several local races.
Over the past year, S.H. Ho College's Runner Force put a lot of efforts on stretching their physical limits. Recently, the members participated in several local races with encouraging results. Miss Chan Man Ying and Miss Fung Pui Yan won the champion in 'Half Marathon - Female Elite (Junior)' of Hong Kong Streetathon @ Kowloon  and '10 km Challenge Run' of HSMC FunD Run for U respectively.

Living Inside Paintings — A Solo Exhibition by Mr. Ye Wen
The College will hold 'Living Inside Paintings — A Solo Exhibition by Mr. Ye Wen' at the Gallery, Chan Chun Ha Hall from 11 May to 19 October. The exhibition will demonstrate how a contemporary artist reflects on issues about lives in art and how he expresses the ideas on creation through the showcase of twenty pieces of paintings by Mr. Ye. The opening ceremony will be held to mark the beginning of this exhibition, to be followed by a public lecture. The details are as follows:

Congratulations to All SHHO Graduates
Congratulations to all SHHO graduates.
The 2016-17 Graduation Ceremony of S.H. Ho College was held on 16 November, 2017. Dr. Tzu-leung Ho, Chairman of the Committee of Overseers, S.H. Ho College and Professor Samuel Sun Sai-ming, College Master, delivered welcome remarks and special messages. Following that, graduation certificates were presented to 90 graduates, along with College ties and College silk scarfs as farewell souvenirs. At the end of the ceremony, Miss Chow Yin Ting, recipient of S.H. Ho College Eminent College Scholarship 2016-17, gave a valedictorian speech. Over 350 guests, graduates and their parents attended the Graduation Ceremony.
