  Before the establishment of CU, the 3 Founding Colleges conferred their own graduates in their respective graduation ceremonies. Not until October 16, 1964, graduates were conferred with degrees under the name of the University

If attending the Congregation is a memorable moment in each graduate's life, it should be the most memorable for those who were the first to receive their degrees at CU.
