    Alumnus Tat Lam uses blockchain to lift villages out of poverty


    Architecture alumnus Tat Lam is the founder of "Shanzhai City", a social enterprise that provides communities in mainland China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Papua New Guinea and Brazil with different kinds of training, in hope of empowering disadvantaged groups from remote regions with technology. Last year, Shanzhai City introduced blockchain technology, that had yet to catch on even in the cities, to the villages and facilitate a 'cooperative economy'. Read about Tat's story.
