*Speaker's Biography:

Dr. Alex Lo, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy of CUHK and a Certified Philosophical Counselor (American Philosophical Practitioners Association), obtained his Doctor of Philosophy from CUHK.  He had been teaching at Lingnan University prior to joining CUHK.  His research interests include ethics, critical thinking, social political philosophy, and Chinese philosophy; while his teaching focuses on logic, critical thinking, I Ching, outline of Chinese culture, philosophical thinking through writing, and philosophy of history.  As the President of the Hong Kong Practical Philosophy Society, Dr. Lo is dedicated to popularising philosophy.  He is frequently invited to host radio programmes and to speak at public occasions.
