Alumni exemplified their care to their alma mater in a variety of ways through a recent phone campaign conducted by the Office of Institutional Advancement of CUHK to graduates from the 70's and 80's.

Serving as ambassadors of the phone campaign were 30 current students selected from different years and programmes. Through the campaign, alumni were individually informed of the latest development of the University, and were also invited to support the University through the "CU Caring Alumni Donation Scheme" or other means. Pledges and donations raised reached a total of HK$4.49 million.

Some alumni took considerable interest in the development of the University as well as the personal growth of the student ambassadors. While the majority of the candid exchanges took about 20 minutes on the phone, some students and alumni continued their conversations over friendly gatherings even after the campaign.
