CUHK 10K Night Challenge

Jointly organised by the University Physical Education Unit, HKJC Centre of Sports Medicine and Health Science and this Centre, the CUHK 10K Night Challenge was successfully held on 8 November.  It comprised two types of entries for advanced runners (10 km) and beginners (4 km) respectively.  Both groups started and finished their race at the South Square of Pak Shek Kok Promenade, Shatin.

In the Opening Ceremony, Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor and President said, "It is so interesting to have a run with nearly a thousand of CUHK students, staff and alumni.  The event carried out at night also gives us a precious opportunity to relax and enjoy the spectacular night scene of the New Territories."  Prof. Joseph Sung not only officiated at the event but also took part in and completed the race together with, among others, Prof. Edwin Chan, Associate Vice-President and University Dean of Students; Prof. Alvin Leung, Dean of Education; and Mr. Daniel Lee, Lecturer of the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education and a former member of the Hong Kong Triathlon National Squad.
