Event: “Heart to Heart Talks” Video Series, Art Museum
Starting from 29 May 2020, the Art Museum had released videos in a variety of topics for 8 consecutive Fridays. Guests from different walks of life were invited to share their views about the treasures of the Museum with our curators.
The guest and curator of Episode 1 titled “Art of Zen: Soul-searching with the Abbot” are the Venerable Sik Tsang Chit (Abbot of Tung Lin Kok Yuen [Monastery]) and Prof. Josh Yiu (Director of the Art Museum, CUHK).
 
The guest and curator of Episode 2 titled “Moral and Ritual Duty: the Doctor’s Touch” are Prof. Francis Chan (Dean of the Faculty of Medicine) and Prof. Xu Xiaodong (Associate Director of the Art Museum, CUHK).
 
The guest and curator of Episode 3 titled “Domestic Muses: Classic Crockery for the Working Mum” are Ms. Emily Chan (anchor of CNBC) and Dr. Wang Guanyu, Samantha (Research-Assistant Curator (Antiquities) of the Art Museum, CUHK).
 
The guest and curator of Episode 4 titled “Rendezvous with Nature: Epic Proportions for the Hike Leader” are Mr. Li Wai On (a hike leader) and Prof. Josh Yiu (Director of the Art Museum, CUHK).
 
The guests and curator of Episode 5 titled “Money Matters: Writing Etiquette for the Students” are two students, Quincy Lam and Susanna Chan, and Dr. Tong Yu (postdoctoral fellow of the Art Museum, CUHK).
 
The guest and curator of Episode 6 titled “The Mane Event: Layered Treatment for the Hairdresser” are Mr. Danny Lee (owner of the CUHK campus salon) and Dr. Ho Pik Ki, Peggy (Research Associate of the Art Museum, CUHK).
 
The guest and curator of Episode 7 titled “Liquid Gold: Bittersweet for the Coffee Shop Owner” are Mr. Vincent Hung (owner of CUHK’s coffee shop, “Paper & Coffee”) and Dr. Chan Kwun Nam, Phil (Associate Curator (painting and calligraphy) of the Art Museum, CUHK).
 
The guest and curator of Episode 8 titled “Hope Springs Eternal: States of Mind of the Painter” are the renowned artist, Prof. Wucius Wong, and Prof. Josh Yiu (Director of the Art Museum, CUHK).
 
The video series, together with the trailers, have attracted over 30,000 views on various platforms.
