A delegation led by Prof. Li Jianfa, Vice-President of Xiamen University visited the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 20 July 2015. A collaboration agreement regarding the Collaborative Innovation Center for Peaceful Development of Cross-Strait Relations between the two universities was signed during the visit.  

The delegation met with Pro-Vice-Chancellors Prof. Fok Tai-fai and Prof. Isabella Poon; and Prof. Hsiung Ping Chen, Director of the Research Institute of Humanities (RIH) to discuss on the joint projects and directions of further collaboration. The delegates also paid visit to RIH where they met with relevant academic members to understand the development of the Institute and its latest research projects.

During the visit, a collaboration agreement regarding the Collaborative Innovation Center for Peaceful Development of Cross-Strait Relations was signed between the two universities, which further strengthened ties in collaboration on cross-strait studies. The visit provided an opportunity for CUHK and Xiamen University to enhance understanding of each other and establish stronger links for further collaboration.
