Professor Wong Hoi Ying, Associate Dean (Student Affairs) and Professor Shannon Au, Assistant Dean (Student Affairs) introduced the Faculty and gave an overview of the admission requirements of SCIENCE programme, they also shared the diverse exchange and research opportunities available, information of Science, Technology And Research Stream (STARS), and career prospects of our graduates to prospective students.

The Faculty grasped the opportunity to organise a talk titled “High-performance Computing in CUHK Forefront Research” to allow secondary school students to have a taste of research. Professor Chu Ming Chung of Department of Physics invited four CUHK scientists to share how they use high-performance computer in their forefront research, they are:

Speaker

Topic

Professor Chan Ting Fung
School of Life Sciences

High-performance Computing in Genome Science

Professor Patrick Lee
