The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Hau Kit-tai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Cheung Chan Fai, Director and Prof. Leung Mei Yee, Associate Director of University General Education (OGE), and representatives from the Department of Chinese Language, the English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) and the Independent Learning Centre (ILC). Introducing the general education in CUHK at the meeting, representatives from OGE also took the chance to understand the general education development in University of Macau.

The delegates and CUHK representatives shared views and opinions on teaching and learning in general education and language studies. After the meeting, the delegation toured the Independent Learning Centre and the General Education Corner of Chung Chi College Elizabeth Luce Moore Library to understand the learning facilities in CUHK.

In 2009, Prof. Tse Chi Wai, Council Chair; and Prof. Zhao Wei, Rector of University of Macau paid visits to CUHK. This visit from University of Macau not only enhanced mutual understanding, but also promoted academic collaborations between the two universities.
