Cultural Fun@i-LOUNGE - Broaden Your Imagination towards the World

Here are the last few 'Cultural Fun' events in i-LOUNGE before the academic year ends!

OSA holds a series of workshops with various cultural themes every week during semester - they are totally free and welcome ALL. If you are eager to immerse yourself in exotic languages, make folk handicrafts or regional snacks or learn about global issues and make foreign friends, you shouldn't miss them!

Chinese Paper Art Workshop

Create your own patterns!

Content

Paper art is a remarkable craft with long history. It is one kind of the traditional art in China and the wisdom deserves to be kept and pass it onto the next generation. A master of paper art will introduce about how to create different patterns and participants will try to make paper art by bare hands.

 

Tea and Spices Night

Sip at the aroma. Slurp!

Content

An introduction to colourful spices and tea which can often be savoured in South East Asia. You will learn their unique tastes and the impeccable aromas. You will also experience some simple yet traditional cultural games, together with folk stories.

 

Nepalese Dance Workshop

Pass on the Nepalese cultural heritage

Content

Nepal is a landlocked country in South East Asia with breathtaking Himalayan scenery. Through this workshop, you can get to know the basic steps of Nepalese dance, costumes and accessories of different groups in Nepal, and listen to stories and sharing about Nepalese culture.
