| Achievements of our students in competitions in Hong Kong, Mainland China as well as overseas are shown in "Student Achievements in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Exhibition 2007" at Exhibition Hall, G/F, University Library from 29 January - 3 February, including the projects awarded Special Awards in the 10th Challenge Cup and projects selected to enter Moot Corp.
CUHK has been nurturing students with innovative thinking and entrepreneurship. The opening ceremony of the exhibition was officiated by Mr. Eddy Y. T. Chan, Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, HKSAR, Professor Lawrence J. Lau Vice-Chancellor of CUHK, Professor Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK, Professor Henry N. C. Wong, Chairman Research Committee of CUHK and Professor Ho Puay Peng, University Dean of Students of CUHK. Five academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and three representatives of CAS came to support and met with our students on January 29, 2008. Students in prize-winning entrepreneurship projects met with senior managements of corporate and venture capital funds. Some of their business plans have been launched and innovative products developed by them will become available in the market soon with the support of investors. |
