To enhance the linkage and communication between university executives from Fudan University and The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the Office of Academic Links (China) [OALC] organized the Executive Training Programme of Fudan University at CUHK from May 13 to 23. Twenty-one executives from different units of FDU participated in the programme. Professor Fok Tai-fai, Acting Vice-Chancellor of CUHK and Professor Xu Ning-sheng, President of FDU presented certificates to participants at the closing Ceremony to show their support to the programme.
The programme comprised a series of lectures and visits through which participants acquired a thorough understanding about management of tertiary education in Hong Kong. These include academic exchange, communication and public relations, student affairs, human resource management, financial management, institutional advancement, campus planning and development and collegial system of CUHK. Thematic lectures on popular topics such as "The Belt and Road Initiative", "Development of Greater Bay Area" and "Innovation & Entrepreneurship" were also introduced. Participants grasped the chances in sharing views and insights in Shanghai-Hong Kong collaboration under these national policies.
Since the establishment of partnership in 1985, CUHK and FDU have carried out a wide range of collaborative projects. Not only being a key member institution in alliances including University College Alliance, Alliance of University General Education and China-UK Humanities Alliance with FDU, CUHK is also the only member institution from Hong Kong for these alliances. The Programme has strengthened exchange and enhanced mutual understanding of administrators from the two universities, facilitating the expansion of collaboration.
