With campus license agreement with Microsoft, CUHK students can enjoy the following services on their personal computers and smartphones for free:

Office 365 ProPlus The latest office applications to be installed on max. 5 computers, including Windows and Macs September
Office 365 OneDrive 1 TB storage on cloud

To enjoy the above benefits, you only need to register for a CUHK Office 365 Account and sign in Office 365 Portal page to get a free download.
Here goes some steps and tips!

1. Do Your Registration ONCE

Pre-requisite:
1. Student ID and CWEM password
2. Register via a campus network connection
Home or Wi-Fi users please run a VPN connection on your broadband service. Visit http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/itsc/network/vpn/vpn.html for VPN setup details.

Registration Starting Date:
The Last Digit of Your Student ID
Registration Start Date
1 or 6 1 Sept (Mon)
2 or 7 2 Sept (Tue)
3 or 8 3 Sept (Wed)
4 or 9 4 Sept (Thu)
5 or 0 5 Sept (Fri)

After a successful registration, you would go into a webpage showing your CUHK Office 365 Account in a format of Your-Student-ID@link.cuhk.edu.hk .

2. Free Download at Office 365 Portal
Once you have registered your Office 365 account, sign in Office 365 Portal page at
Office 365 Portal Login Page https://www.cuhk.edu.hk/o365

Your Office 365 Account Format Login ID: Your-Student-ID@link.cuhk.edu.hk
Password: Your CWEM password

3. Activate OneDrive before Use
Before using your new cloud storage OneDrive, go to Office 365 Portal page to activate it: just simply click "OneDrive" at the top right menu bar, and activation is done!

4. Stay Tuned for Exchange Online in Oct
