The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Jack Cheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, who    introduced the University's academic development and research achievements. CUHK members joined the reception included Prof. Fung Tung, Associate-Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Wing Wong, Dean of Graduate School; Prof. Hsiung Ping-chen, Dean of Arts; Prof. Wong Tak Jun, Dean of Business Administration, Prof. Ng Cheuk-yiu, Dean of Science; Chairmen and Directors of relevant departments and research institutes, as well as representatives from the Faculty of Arts and its constituent departments.

The delegates and CUHK representatives shared views and opinions on overall collaborative directions and strategies. They also discussed specific plans to be carried out in humanities, history, chemistry, biomedical science, remote sensing, environmental protection and general education, covering areas ranging from student exchange, joint programmes to research projects.

CUHK and Central University have established close relationship in academic exchange. This visit led by Prof. Joseph S. Lee further deepened mutual understanding and expanded cooperation into specific collaborative projects between the two parties.
