Associate Vice President of CUHK Joins the National Day Activites

The State Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Education, Science and Technology Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government (LOCPG) in HKSAR jointly organized the "National Day Delegation from the Educational Sector of Hong Kong 2016" from September 18 to 23 to celebrate the 67th Anniversary of the People's Republic of China (PRC), and to enhance professional exchange between the education sector of Hong Kong and mainland China.  Prof. WONG Suk-ying, Associate Vice President of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), participated in the activites on behalf of CUHK, together with over 150 members of the delegation.

During their stay in Beijing, the delegation met with leaders of PRC and representatives of MOE and obtained more knowledge on the nation's 13th Five Year Plan. Visit was also paid to Tsinghua University for academic exchange.

The visit enabled education professionals of Hong Kong and mainland China to discuss their work on youth education, sharing experience in relevant fields.  It also provided an opportunity for Hong Kong delegates to gain a better understanding of national policies and opportunities, paving the way for further collaboration across the regions.
