Microsoft Announces the End of Support to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008
Windows 7's and Server 2008's end of life will be 14 Jan 2020. To cope with this, ITSC will work with departments (LAN Administrators) to retire the university owned machines, as endorsed by Information Technology Governance Committee. Related operation systems will be unable to connect to campus network after 14 Jan 2020.

Emails Sent from Gmail with CUHK Email Address Classified as Junk / Fraud
Some CUHK users use Gmail to send emails with or on behalf of @cuhk.edu.hk / @link.cuhk.edu.hk. Emails sent by this method might be classified as junk / fraud in Office 365. To avoid this from happening, one should send emails via Office 365 SMTP server while using Gmail to send with a CUHK email address.

Downloading OneDrive Files Wisely to Your Devices with OneDrive Files on-Demand
In the past, it would take up your PC space when you synced OneDrive files to your device through OneDrive desktop app. Now with Win 10 (version 16299.15 or later), an up-to-date OneDrive desktop app (downloadable via Office 365 Proplus) can download files to your PC wisely by considering the free space on your PC and the file sizes.
