Professor Wang Enke, President of South China Normal University (SCNU) led a 6-member delegation to visit The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) on 27 September. He met with Professor Fok Tai-fai, Acting Vice-Chancellor of CUHK and Prof. Alvin Leung, Faculty Dean of Education to discuss on collaboration opportunities.
At the meeting, potential bilateral collaboration in talent-nurturing, research projects and academic exchange are discussed in-depth. Plans were devised for the two universities to join hands in initiating collaboration projects in the field of education covering summer activities, staff mobility schemes and joint academic events in the future.
SCNU and CUHK have been developing a range of academic activities since 1985, with joint projects mainly focusing on Science and Education. Alongside the establishment and progressing development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance, this visit of President Wang enabled both universities to enhance linkage to promote sustainable partnership development in student interflow, academic exchange and scientific research collaboration.
