| CUHK Computer Science and Information Systems Ranks 26th Worldwide and 1st in Hong Kong in 2022 QS World University Ranking

CUHK has ranked 39th overall in the 2022 QS World University Ranking released in April, the University’s best ranking yet in the past ten years. In addition, CUHK’s “Computer Science and Information Systems” discipline has ranked 26th worldwide, the top among Hong Kong tertiary institutions.
The scope of this year’s QS university ranking is the largest to date, with over 1,300 participating universities around the world. The institutions were assessed according to six principal criteria: Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty Student Ratio, Citations per Faculty, International Faculty Ratio, and International Students Ratio.
CUHK has also achieved outstanding results in the 2022 Top Universities and Top Scientists Rankings developed by the international academic website Research.com, which measures h-index performance and bibliometric indicators. In addition to being featured in China’s top ten in nine disciplines (out of 21), namely Psychology (1st); Computer Science, Medicine, Economics and Finance, Biology and Biochemistry (2nd); and Microbiology (3rd), the University also topped Hong Kong in six disciplines: Computer Science, Economics and Finance, Psychology, Plant Science and Agronomy, Biology and Biochemistry, as well as Genetics and Molecular Biology.
