Since its debut in 2013, this programme has been a platform for cultural exchange at CUHK and has created a home away from home for many non-local students. In the past four years, the host families took care of students from India, Indonesia, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Palestine, South Korea, mainland China, Taiwan, Thailand, Zimbabwe, etc.
Under this programme, host families are encouraged to arrange activities for their students, which can be family meals, festivities, visits/outings, etc. A suitable amount of subsidy will be provided. The matching of hosts and hostees will be arranged by OSA, mainly based on their common interest, college affiliation, religion, etc. One host family will take care of no more than two students. Provision of accommodation for the hostees is not necessary.
If you are a local year two or above undergraduate student, please consider joining us. Don't miss the opportunity to meet new people, build intercultural friendships and widen your cultural perspectives!
